About

The FSU Insurance Leadership Development series is a new certificate program for managers and directors who exhibit high potential in their organizations. Designed specifically for insurance and risk management professionals, FSU faculty will facilitate engaging and highly interactive programming. Participants will be prepared to define their personal leadership style, create impactful organizational strategies, coach and mentor others, and lead change initiatives through their team.

Facilitators

Randy Blass
Randy Blass is the executive director of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, director of Executive and Auxiliary Programs and a senior lecturer in the College of Business. Additionally, he is the executive director of the college’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) Accelerate and the Center for Veteran Outreach (CVO). He is also a senior research fellow in the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) and recently served on the Small Business Administration’s Council on Underserved Communities. Blass is a 25-year veteran of the United States Air Force with extensive operational experience in training and development and tactical and strategic planning.

Darren Brooks
Darren is director of the Center for Human Resource Management, associate lecturer and assistant chair in the Department of Management. He has more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience in the private and public sectors, including the State of Florida. He has led strategic human resource planning, learning systems design, compensation and benefits design, performance consulting, talent acquisition and management, program evaluation, information technology, procurement and change management initiatives.
